I sorta have to choose between Intro Econ and Intro Psychology for next semester. I could have taken Japanese Film, but I'm taking a lot of hard classes and that might be too much work. Which class is more interesting, intro to economics or intro to psychology?

Well I say psychology but my only experience was AP Psychology. It was highly interesting and I loved my teacher. I would look at the professor more closely though. See if their are any good rated professors first.

definitely psych

Depends what you’re into; i’m an Econ major so i’d obviously enjoy the Econ class more, but some people are more suited for psych. Both are social sciences and Intro classes are really easy. I reccommend you take both at some point. Econ is very practical and I think everyone should take at least a basic intro class, Psych is very interesting and teaches you about human behavior, I think everyone enjoys that. Both Psych and Econ are really popular majors for a reason. As of now, I agree with justin you should check out if there’s any great profs teaching the classes and pick based on that, you can take the other as an elective next semester.

also, don’t worry about math with econ because intro classes are like HS-level and don’t involve hard math, same with psych you won’t need much stats for an intro class. Really both will be easy fun-elective type courses, take both in college sometime if you can.

thanks for your responses… I kinda really want to take a Japanese film class because I really like film… But I’m pre-dental and I’m already taking two hard science classes (general genetics and intro chem) and I’m not sure if the papers will lower my GPA or if it will take too much time… How are film classes in general?

You watch movies.

How do you think they are?

I think psych is really interesting.

I think the world needs more economic knowledge.
