Intro Engineering Program (summer program)

The IEP summer program is 3 weeks long. For anyone who participated in this program, how bad is it to only attend the first 2 weeks?
thanks

It’s not cheap. why would you want to only go for two weeks?

I think that you probably need to commit for the entire program and not just the first two weeks. It is not a cheap program, but far less costly than many programs around the country. Also, if you qualify for financial aid, I believe that there is some limited financial assistance available. Check out their web site–I am sure it can offer the most current info about the program including whether you can just attend for 2 weeks vs the entire 3 week program.

Would love to be there for all 3 weeks, but there is a conflict for the third week.

I went to the program this past summer, and to tell you the truth, there’s no way you would want to leave the last week. Everything winds down for the final week, including the major projects, and you’ll want to spend a lot of that time with the friends you make also. So, to answer your question, you could go for the first two weeks, (unless it’s a requirement that you have to stay the whole time, which I don’t remember), but it wouldn’t be the same experience. There are also two sessions, so you might want to check if the other session works better for your schedule. I got into the second session last year, but had to switch to the first to go to the LCLS program at ND, and they were very flexible with me. :)
