<p>Can restricted ECE students in the CIT department take Intro to ECE first semester of freshman year? Or is that only those in the ECE program and those who want to transfer take it spring of freshman year?</p>
<p>I believe it’s open enrollment since a number of CS students take Intro to ECE to fulfill one of their requirements for a lab class.</p>
<p>all 1st years come in as “CIT general”, and do not declare major until end of freshman year. </p>
<p>and there’s no “ece restricted”, it would be “CIT restricted”. But they give priorities to students who are unrestricted, and thus if they register and there are spots left over you are allowed to register for the fall. If they are filled up, you can take it in the spring (recent years it’s been easier to get in the spring class because of less demand for ece - relatively)</p>
