Inventing books for the SAT essay?

Has anybody else done this? I dont really have many general examples to use, usually its just Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks, Hitler, and my personal experiences :/. Literature examples seem to be better though so thats why Im wondering.

What do you mean inventing books?

I did it, and I got an eleven. Inventing the **** out of everything.

I mean inventing the name of books that never existed, and basically making all up.

" In the book “El catastrofe y la vengaza” by Jose Pimentel Pomar, a young lady is portrayed as …etc"

I made that up obviously.

Lmao, that’s brilliant.

Or you could be like, in the book I wrote entitled _________, the main character…

Lol, definitely something I’ll keep up my sleeve if I’m clueless on the essay.

Realize that it’s not all about the examples. It’s about how you USE your examples and your critical thinking and reasoning in order to argue and persuade the reader. So when you make up the example, make sure you have a plan of what you’re going to do with the example. Otherwise it just sounds like a stupid made-up story or something.

General Rule: If you’re forced to make up examples, then you are doing it wrong.
