Invisible Children - Make Kony Famous

I don't think I'm allowed to post a link, but if anyone has twenty minutes to kill, please look up the video.

Joseph Kony is a war criminal, and if you support the international effort to arrest him, disarm the LRA and bring child soldiers home, consider participating in the April 20th world-wide event.

My high school actually has a group that does fundraisers, etc. to benefit this organization. The director of the film even came to our school and discussed it, along with some of the people in the film, I believe. (I missed it…stupid bio test)

Yes, I know, this has absolutely nothing to do with high school or college or any of that. But please just watch the video and pass it on. We need to make everyone aware of this man’s horrible crimes.

[KONY 2012 on Vimeo](KONY 2012 on Vimeo)

Agreed.

10char

I heard about him when Obama sent troops into Uganda to hunt him down and Rush Limbaugh called that an attack on Christians.

Yes we need to show support. The more people who are aware of this, the better.

Just heard about it, I am going to the Cover the Night in my area! That video opened my eyes.

Is he an independent?

Kony hasn’t done anything in five or six years. This would’ve been much timelier a while ago.

I was just about to post this! Everyone definately needs to watch this!!

I came here with the intention of starting a topic on this subject, but am very glad that I am not the only one who cares enough to do so.
Over the last day the knowledge of him has boomed at my school, and I hope it will do so similarly at others.

Guys, that’s great, but the problem doesn’t end on April 20th. If you’re interested…

[Stop Kony, yes. But don’t stop asking questions | Musa Okwonga | Independent Editor’s choice Blogs](http://blogs.independent.co.uk/2012/03/07/stop-kony-yes-but-dont-stop-asking-questions/)

I hated Kony before it was mainstream. Same as msteiny1212. Invisible Children IS ALL my school’s UNICEF club cares about. If I even try and say, “Hey, let’s help other people for once.” they’re like “YOU ARE A HORRIBLE PERSON!”

It’s a great cause, it’s just a pity that it’s overshadowed the fact that getting rid of Kony isn’t going to solve the “Africa problem”. There’s more to it than putting posters up.

Also, International Women’s Day tomorrow. Does anyone know about this? Nope - thanks Kony, taking attention away from women now.

^That’s a little bit harsh, nobody knows about Women’s day because these people don’t care.
And I agree that there’s a lot more to solving child soldiers/slavery than killing Kony

^agreed, but with the amount of publicity this thing has gathered in the last 24 hours, it seems as if everyone will be

You got something I could read. I don’t feel like watching a video…

Before you donate any money read this. Your money is doing more harm than good.

Has anyone seen the other IC documentaries? There are a few others, pretty interesting.

wow this subject became popular overnight. I log onto my facebook today and see my whole news feed with “Stop Kony 2012”. Yes, I knew about Kony a year ago and the terrible things he’s doing. I don’t understand, however, how we as individuals can help find Kony but I guess it’s good that people are aware
