<p>You know, my stats were not EXTRAORDINARY. They're not horrible, but they are not impossible scores, so I am pretty surprised I got a letter. I must be at the LOWER end of the spectrum. hahaha. </p>
<p>WOAOHH! UCLA Regents..that's big too! I think there is a collaboration between LA and Berkeley because apparently the people who get Berkeley's don't get UCLA and vice versa. I don't get it, but no one believes me at school.</p>

<p>They're not correlated because their awards committees are independent of each school (just like the admission committee). They know nothing of what the other school does and will never know what students the other UCs will award (or nominate for) their regents scholarships.</p>
<p>My D's best friend received regents scholarships from both UCLA and UCB. They don't compare notes.</p>

<p>hmm, I've never heard about that... I believe that everyone who was invited received notification by post.</p>

<p>ditto syawn; I guess/hope Regents notification only comes via postl with the decision (the UC central site's UCLA Regents Scholarship information says applicants will be notified at the time of their decision).</p>
