@californiaaa - Yep. The vibe is different on every campus. The final two choices for our oldest came down to a medium sized private with tons of merit, honors college, and a great vibe and a selective LAC in a city she wasn’t overly thrilled with. D is a STEM major so she did her due diligence investigating & comparing the departments. She spoke with professors and kids in that major. The LAC was by far the better choice for her major. Not all LAC have strong STEM programs but this one does. Most people change their major but D is not most people so we supported her choice.
