I did not get regents, but got the following email/reminder. Is it a marketing message decoupled from admission decisions, or does it imply I may have gotten in.

Thank you for applying for admission to UC Santa Barbara. From the applicant pool, you
have been identified as a potential candidate for the Burnham Engineering and Applied
Science Scholarship Program, which pays an annual $11,000 stipend for up to 5 years. This
letter is to inform you of this exciting opportunity, and to invite you to apply.

Better than Regents.....hmmm..

I don't think it is better (as in more selective) than regents. It has a need component too (income <100K) while regents is purely merit.

Yeah I got that too.

I think everyone who applied to an engineering major got it, but I'm not sure. Can anyone else vouch for that?

What major did you apply to? And are you applying for the scholarship?

I got it and I'm a bio major. I'm not applying for it because my parents make more than 100K. I also got Regents.
Just one question. Does the 100k apply to the net income or the adjusted gross income?

Look up ucsb site Burnahm FAQ. Accdg to it, they treat income calculation the same way as FAFSA.

Hey! Did anyone else get this e-mail??:

"Hello,

We received 450+ applications this year and you have made the final round - top 40. Interview decisions will be emailed Tuesday, March 31st. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause you in making travel arrangements.

If you are selected for an interview, it will take place during Spring Insight on Saturday, April 4th, at UCSB."
