Invitation

yep i went today
the director of admissions said we are all accepted but after someone asked if we got into our first choice, she said not necessarily..

at the split up to engineering cls and ccs, i went to engingeering and in response to some question one of the people answering the questions said we are all eligible for the honors program…

haha i was there too

i signed up for a party of 3 including me but i just found out that they couldn’t make it and for some reason i can’t change my reservation. would it be ok to just show up with nobody else

see you guys…tommorrow!
COSTA MESA

Hey guys who ever reads this in 2009 looking for answers about the event, it’s worth it. Even if you are not that interested they make you feel like a million bucks and its very convinient because you can ask them all the questions you like in person that rather over the phone. That was just my experiance.

^wow, it’s like you’re talking to people from the future :D… but yeah i agree with what u say

it means you in, they told that to everyone who went

It’s 2011 and people are still linking this thread!

shrinkrap, are you going to the reception ???

Sorry, no. My daughter is a junior in college, and my HS son didn’t get the invite.

just got one today! a bit odd given they release decisions so soon. Does this mean im in?

^ yes (with honors, according to some.)

so weird…GPA 4.25… SAT 2200 ACT 34 varsity sports, good EC tand I have no heard one word from UCSB…

4 more days till SB decisions!!

Anyone else going to the reception in San Jose tomorrow? I am!

update us on what happens

ooh im going to SJ tomorrow! i’m actually kinda excited haha

I’m excited, too! I also find out about UCSD today, so UCSB can kind of soften the blow if I’m rejected :p

And I’ll definitely post something about it later for everyone who couldn’t make it.

JeSuis, let me know if you like UCSB’s reception …

At the reception, everyone was told they were admitted. If you applied for engineering, you’re in the honors program. They just had a bunch of people sell the school and try to recruit us. Kind of boring and pointless, but that might be because I was accepted to UCSD (my first choice) an hour before the reception =D
