Invite to Accepted Students Weekend without Formal Acceptance

My D got an email invitation to Accepted Students Weekend without a formal acceptance. She applied to Tisch Drama. Anyone else get this?

I got this too and I applied to CAS. It sounds like it’s a likely letter?

applied to GLS. got this one too.

Got it also. Comp Sci major

me too
is this really a likely letter?

Well if they sent it to everyone that would be so dumb…could NYU be that mean?

well they say that this e-mail was sent to a select group of applicants. It cannot be that everybody got this e-mail.

omg im so happy! i never thought i’d get a likely letter from a college… now hopefully i’ll get a good scholarship

taking this as a positive sign…fingers crossed

i got this email too! i applied to the college for cinema studies :)

Does anyone have any information about likely emails last year?

Someone please call admissions office and coax them into telling us!!

I got this too. Applied to Stern.

I got this… accepted to LSP

hmmm i got this too… i’ll take it as “neutral” news for now until further confirmation
but if it is in fact a “likely”
congrats everyone!

^erical12, how do you know?

I just called admissions and they confirmed it was an acceptance. Mail will arrive first week of April.

me too. applied to stern.

This is definitely a new (2010) way to announce. They are switching up several things this year (to keep us on our toes, I guess)

UPDATE:
