Invite to Accepted Students Weekend without Formal Acceptance

im a little confused though. I received an email but I applied to Stern, so does that mean i am accepted into stern or into just the regular CAS…I actually dont know NYU too well just applied for the heck of it haha

amman…they can’t just switch your schools when they accept you. These letters are coming to kids from many of the various schools. They’re not all CAS…but CAS has the most students (I think) so you’re probably seeing a lot of them on here right now.

I got this too… I applied to Tisch for Cinema Studies.

Congrats to all of you!

What exactly did they say on the phone? They full out just admitted that it was an acceptance?

@dreamupsided0wn… i called. he said you are DEFINATELY IN!! :)

just got off the phone…
accepted^^

It is an OFFICIAL acceptance.

I spoke with the office of admissions. ANYONE who got the “Travel Plans” email has been accepted to the university.

CONGRATULATIONS!

mikeyb329, I received the LSP package a few days ago in the mail.

so if we didn’t get this email we are rejected? wow.

@Loly

I don’t know if that is true. You should call admissions to confirm that.

don’t worry, Loly! if you check out the other thread on this, someone said that an admission representative told her the emails are coming out in waves. so yours could still be on its way!

Hmmmm…could this be wishful thinking? I know Stupe and Ugal (pardon my “familiarity with your name”) have stats similar to my daughter. I clicked on a few “accepted” names here and saw some PRETTY impressive stats…like 2390s, people applying to Ivies, etc. Could this (hopefully) “first wave” be “honors” type kids? Might not be PC to ask, BUT…would REALLY help everyone else who is still waiting for said e-mail…to know that there might be lots more of the same…coming down the pipeline soon (though we do know there are LSPs on here too).

Ugal…my D has a 34 too (you don’t think that’s “honors”? … it’s top 1% in the country!) Don’t sell yourself short! ALL the names I clicked on had stats like 800 SAT IIs, high SAT/ACT, etc.

@R124687 I don’t know, good question. I had a 33 ACT, 34 superscore… I don’t think it’s “honors” level, but honestly don’t know…

I just got in with a 3.3 GPA, 31 ACT, and 2090 SAT. I’m well pleased with myself.

well idk if this is true or not but i had a 33 act, 2100 sat, and mid-to-upper 700s on sat 2’s and around a 90 avg in ap and honors courses…

Y’all click on some names…bluepomorodo = 2400!, the list of high stats is is pretty impressive overall. Even on this page only…an 800 SAT II, someone applying to UCHI, Vassar, etc. .

And…“dreamed”…aren’t you Tisch…so your "excellence is (partly) TALENT based (YEAH!!!). (Hope you’ll take this as a COMPLIMENT from a fellow (former) actor who never followed her dream…with a daughter who’d give anything to be in Tisch!

I’m just HOPING this is true - because I want SO MANY OTHERS to be getting the e-mail soon!!!

I got this, as well. It says to book my travel plans to NYC [although I live 20 minutes away…lol].

My SAT is 1820, GPA is 3.6, and ACT is 28. Honestly, not anything special. How did I manage to get in, if the emails mean an acceptance?

my son got this email, too (Steinhardt music performance) - what’s especially weird is that you can’t book travel plans when you have no idea which program/date you’d be visiting!
