Just curious about your thoughts if I had a good shot at getting into Iowa University for Engineering.

ACT: 28
Math: 33
English: 23
Science: 29
Reading: 28

GPA: 3.8/4.0

I am in band and I have been selected for state honor bands and I have been on my schools math team for 3 years (about to be 4).

My RAI is about 285

First of all, are you talking about the University of Iowa or Iowa State University? Iowa State has a much higher ranked Engineering program, so I assume that’s what you’re talking about. If your RAI is above 255, assuming you’re an out-of-state student, you are guaranteed to get in to both U Iowa and Iowa State because that’s what both schools base their admission decisions off of.

I forgot to add that you must also meet minimum course requirements for both schools, such as a certain number of years of math or world language. You can easily access this information on the school websites.

Alright I have all the requirements for both schools. I just wanna have more confidence when I’m applying, so I was just checking.
