IPhO and AP Physics C Textbook Help?!?

Hi! I'm planning on self-studying AP Physics C and preparing for the IPhO, and I'd like to get started over the summer. I already took Physics without calculus in school last year.

I have a book in two volumes called "Essential University Physics" by Richard Wolfson. Do you guys know anything about it? Is it adequate for preparation for AP Physics C and/or the IPhO?

If not, could anyone please recommend a better textbook?

Thanks!

If I may, I recommend these textbooks that I used to self-study for the AP Physics C exams:

Physics for Scientists and Engineers by Serway (Perferably 6th through 8th edition)

Physics for Engineers and Scientists by Ohanian (I’m using the third edition).

The second one I’m using for my college classes, but both books worked really well for me. The First book is much cheaper than the second one (I think), so it’s probably better to get the first one (especially since the second one is split into volumes, and you would need volumes 1 and 2 or the whole thing, which is unnecessary).

If using the first book, refer to Part 1:Mechanics for Mechanics (except chapter 14) and Part 4: E&M for E&M (except for some sections, but that’s up to you).

Get the following textbooks,

An Introduction to Mechanics by Daniel Kleppner and Robert J. Kolenkow (<-- godly textbook, nearly all problems are USAPhO difficulty or higher)

Electricity and Magnetism by Purcell

Problems in General Physics by I.E. Irodov
