Can someone please recommend a reputable iPhone app for identification of stars and planets in the night sky? There seems to be a gazillion of them in the App Store… thanks!
I have Night Sky on my iPad - I’m not very sophisticated with everything it can do but it’s been fun to use for the last few years.

I think Sky Guide is incredibly good. I’ve been using it for years.
Tap the compass button, it will figure out your location, and just hold your phone up and move it around to identify what you see.

I use SkyView - it’s free and I adore it! I use it a lot.
