iPod help!

<p>I got a new computer and I'm trying to transfer all my music. I've tried saving it to my USB thing and it had the information, but there was no sound to it. I tried emailing it to myself, but it showed up as a bunch of text. What can I do? Am I going to be stuck burning them all to a CD and then ripping them to this computer?</p>

<p>I've read about manually transferring them by finding the file on the ipod and then transferring them 1 by 1. has anyone done this?</p>
