ipod on a mac

ok I have a question concerning using an ipod on a mac.. I will be buying a macbook pro for college and i was wondering if there is an itunes alternative program, such as anapod, that i could use b/c i hate the stupid autosync thing on itunes and i hate being forced to store all my music files on both my ipod and computer and not being able to use my ipod on another computer w/o destroying all my files

Umm, I know that this works with a PC, so it probably should too for a mac. You just have to turn off the autoupdate...that way, whenever you update your songs, you drag and drop, and then you can delete them off your computer.

myheartisinohio, you can disable the autosync thing...

i use my ipod with 2 different computers and all my files are intact.

ok good....

^
did you get your name from a Hawthorne Heights song?

so, if you use manual settings... does that mean you could put music videos/tv shows from itunes onto your ipod, even if these shows are on different computers? i mean, if there're 2 comp. in my house, each has a different itunes music video on it, i could put them both on my ipod?

i think so, but i have only done the 2 computer thing with songs, not videos, so i'm not sure.

"did you get your name from a Hawthorne Heights song?"
