<p>an earlier poster mentioined these but I am going to say straight out DO NOT GET NOISE CANCELING HEADPHONES! (unless they are the bose ones)</p>
<p>The low cost ones put most of the money in the noise canceling circuitry rather than in the headphones themselves so you are left with crappy drivers (plus the interferance of the noise canceling) rather than nice headphones. Any decent closed-driver headphone will cancel some noise on its own and the differance compared to the cheap "noise canceling" headphones is not great.</p>
