IQ on application?

Hey guys! on the application it lists a bunch of test scores you can send (SAT, ACT, PSAT) and includes IQ. Has anyone ever done this. If I have a high IQ should I send a report?

I wouldn’t just list an IQ number, I don’t even know where you could do that… I would only include it if I won an award for a high IQ score or I was a member of MENSA or something…

Absolutely not. It would look vain and I hope you realize that many applicants have extremely high IQs. If your is truly high it should show through to the rest of your application.

yeah, I thought it was a little awkward/weird but georgetown is my dream school and I have a really really high IQ score so I was just trying to see if it was worthwhile to send. but okay, I won’t.

Not necessary. Georgetown has high standards for testing, but it’s not the most decisive part of the app. I was freaked out by the fact that they didn’t allow Score Choice and consider all scores…not just the highest. However, I think Georgetown pays more attention to ECs and essays than a lot of other schools do. They really want people who are deep-thinkers and motivated. They told our accepted class that they carefully chose people who seemed to have questions about their world and who wanted to make a difference through their studies. They don’t want people who seem desperate to prove their worthiness.
