<p>Hi im just wondering what their IR/IGS program compared to the other schools around the Boston area, specifically to BU. Does Brandeis prepare you well for internships, etc.? thanks!</p>
<p>well for Boston area schools, Tufts' IR program is amazing for being so far outside of DC. Heck it's pretty phenomenal on its own. It's harder to get into than Deis I think.</p>
<p>But Deis' program is pretty new but there are specializations, which I think is pretty neat. I don't speak from experience though, I'm a prospective student.</p>
<p>Tufts, Georgetown, and JHU have the best undergraduate IR programs (along with the best graduate IR programs). Tufts is definitely more recognized for IR than Brandeis, plus, it's harder to get into which adds to its prestige.</p>
<p>P.S. Tufts' IR major also has specializations, ranging from regional, economic (development, intl business, etc.), foreign policy studies, global conflict cooperation & justice, and socio-cultural intl studies</p>
