I have been assigned to the 6-person suite. Can anybody please share his/her experience at IRC. Also, how far is it from Marshall?

IRC is located above the newest dining hall in the southeast corner of campus, however the other 2 are being remodeled as we speak. I lived at PRB next door but they’re relatively similar. Its about a 10 min walk or less to basically anywhere on campus. To be honest, IRC is probably one of the quieter halls, and the social experience is what you make out of it. Suite style is nearly not as social as traditional dorms and you usually will become friends with the people in your suite and to a lesser extent on your floor.

Distance to Marshall: [Google Maps Pedometer / GMaps Pedometer for Running, Walking, and Cycling](<a href=“Google Maps Pedometer / GMaps Pedometer for Running, Walking, and Cycling”>Google Maps Pedometer / GMaps Pedometer for Running, Walking, and Cycling)

Thanks a lot. But I am assuming that there shall be ample opportunity to socialise outside of the dorm. Anyway my main purpose is to study in my room, you know, asian student rooming with four other asians. It will be all about getting a 4.0 gpa.

The Leavey Library is not that far and is open 24 hours a day.

^ That is great. Btw I heard it was your birthday a few days back, so happy birthday.

Parkside is the farthest Freshman dorm from Marshall. Southside (Marks, Pardee and Trojan) are closest, and I think the Freshman corner (BK and New/North) is closer too. Honestly, the reason Parkside gets such a bad rap is because its so far from the rest of Freshman housing, far from the Row, and suite-style.
