Prayers for all who are/will be affected.

We were under flood watch, tornado watch and hurricane watch until just now. The storm has passed and many are without power. We lost ours intermittently during the night but luckily,we do have power now, while friends a few blocks away do not.
There are many downed trees but again we were lucky that the two huge trees across from our house are still standing. We are expecting nice weather over the next few days which will help the cleanup crews do their work. There is much to be done with all the flooding and outages. Driving is like an obstacle course with all the debris on the roads. New York will take a while to recover.

Glad you are safe robotbldmom and hope our other posters have fared well too. :)

Ditto Momofonly1! Good news! I’ll be watching to see how the others are doing.

Thoughts and prayers still headed your way.

Hope everyone who was in the path of the hurricane is safe and well. We are still having high wind gusts, making cleanup a problem.

Absolutely gorgeous day today in the NC Piedmont. You’d never know a major hurricane had just been lashing our coast.

Unlike Hugo, which pummeled our area some 21+ years ago (IIRC), Irene didn’t come this far inland.

Prayers for all those closer to Irene’s path!
