Do the laundry rooms at UF have ironing boards and/or irons? What should I bring if I'm planning on ironing my clothes? Also, is there an affordable dry-cleaners in/near the campus?

I’d like to know the answer to this as well. Are we allowed to bring irons and keep them in our dorms? What about a mini ironing board? Haha.

I lived in Beaty for summer B and no there wasn’t a place to iron your clothes. Simply the washers, dryers, a sink, a counter to fold your clothes, and a booth so you can sit and wait if you like. You are allowed to bring an iron and my roommate had a mini ironing board so basically it’s really your decision what you bring. Again I lived in Beaty so I am merely assuming the other laundries are similar. And, no, sorry I haven’t looked for any dry cleaners

You don’t need an ironing board to iron… You can iron over a folded bed sheet or towel

You should consider a small steamer–they are much quicker and easier to use than an iron.

I agree with the steamer, you can get stand up ones that take up no more room then a vacuum cleaner or standing lamp.

My mom actually mentioned the steamer yesterday. Would you guys recommend any specific ones? I’ve never used one before.

Also, Febreeze makes this really good spray that is supposed to get the wrinkles out of your clothes (I think it’s called “wrinkle release”) and from what I’ve heard and seen, it actually is a good substitute for ironing (especially if you’re living in a dorm).
