<p>This is for the question that had to do with how many integers solve this equation: It was either 3 or 4 depending on if 0 is an integer.</p>
<p>2 is the first prime, and the only even prime.</p>
<p>That's just the rule - I guess its because with 0 and 1 - there are no other numbers that could possibly be factors. With 2 - it probably just fits that formula they use for finding the next primes and stuff.</p>
<p>In fact, zero is considered even if you are considering the set of integers or natural numbers. Not if you are considering the set of whole numbers. Sort of weird stuff - google it and see what you find - interesting.</p>
