Is 1 month enough time to do the entire Common App

I'm going to be packed in September with a lot of stuff (and I mean crazily overloaded).

Since the UCs release their prompts October 1st, I was thinking about doing the UC application in October-Novemeber then turning it in before the Nov 30th deadline. Then I was planning to start the Common App in December and finish it by the end of December. Is this a good plan?

In all honesty, you can fill out the common app in well under a day.
It's how long it takes you to write the essays.

The essays is what I was referring to. On average, how much time do you guys spend on them?

yeah, and the recs might also take a while, if the teacher procrastinates.

Well, I took my time on it. April-ish to still tweaking now.

Actual time spent working on it together though? Maybe 6 hours? That's a complete guess though. I took my time so that I wouldn't be pressed for it now.

new UC essays are out

it also may depend on the number of supplements you have to fill out. If you are only doing the common app with no supps, one month should be ok. But if you have five or six supplements, you'll be swamped.

the actual first draft is easy(like 2 hours) but the revisions +rewrites take a lot longer depending how good of a writer you are, and how much improvement you need to make. I mean remember you're not writing like a book here the essay is like 500ish words.

the new UC essays are out? They said they release them October 1st...

^Perhaps they meant the online application. The essay prompts are definitely out, 'cause some of my friends have to do the UC essays as summer homework for English.
