Is 15 too many colleges to apply to?

<p>If interested in journalism, include Mizzou.
It’s often recommended to major in something such as poli-sci or economics or international relations, with a minor in a “niche” topic such as Science&Society, Environmental Science, etc, and/or digital media, before going to journalism: the profession is rapidly changing and a strong basis will be very useful to you.
Someone applying to Vassar/Barnard and Pepperdine has me scratching my head. Read about them in the Fiske Guide to see what I mean.
BU and BC have nothing in common in terms of “fit”, except they’re both in Boston. If you like BU you may like NYU or Vanderbilt on the reach side, UMN-Twin Cities or Pitt in terms of matches. If you like BC, you may like Holy Cross, UDayton, UPortland, USanDiego.
Among UCLA & UCSD, UIUC, and UTK, there must be at least two that are out of state universities, so if you need financial aid, check out what they offer in terms of merit otherwise get ready to pay full sticker price with the OOS surcharge without any financial aid (except for the federal loans: $5,5000.)</p>
