@GMTplus7 It’s not because of that. A family friend goes to Cornell and it sounds like a school I’d be comfortable in from what I’ve heard and looked up online (unlike MIT where I’ve heard the people are more stiff, if that’s the right word). And I don’t want to go too far from home because of family problems, even if Ithaca’s kinda far. I like the location and environment though, but I’m going for a tour in July to see. And of course Cornell is a wonderful school for engineering, which is something I’m interested in. Like Binghamton or Buffalo is certainly no ivy, but they’re also good schools for engineering. if not Cornell, I’d probably go to either of those, but Cornell is challenging, and of course it’s one of the best engineering schools in NY. Then there are the little things: that Cornell is an ivy, Cornell is easier to get into than MIT, Cornell is a school my parents would approve of, etc. I wouldn’t care if Cornell wasn’t an ivy. It would still be my first choice.

@yuhan97 Thanks, I’ll keep that in mind :)

Cornell with Current SAT = Low reach/Reach
With a 33+ ACT=High Match/Low Reach
Chance Back?

@bartmta Thanks ^-^ I won’t be able to send in my second SAT score in time so I’m definitely going to try hard to get 33+ on ACT. Would my chances improve if I can get a 780+ on Math II and 750+ on Physics?
