I accidentally posted in the wrong forum, but I'm going to revise to make it more clear.

I have attended Sacramento State University for 3 semesters. As of right now I have a 3.42 GPA, but I'm hoping to raise it above a 3.50 by the time I apply as a transfer student. Starting Spring 2013 I will be attending a community college. I'm majoring in health care administration. I'm hoping to transfer to San Jose State by Fall 2014. CSU Long Beach was also one of my considerations, but I have been told that a 3.5 GPA is not good enough at the transfer level I must get a 3.75+ GPA for Long Beach to even look at my records. I understand that every school is very competitive right now and all majors at the transfer level are impacted for San Jose State and Long Beach. SJSU only offers an undergraduate degree for health care, but I was planning on attending CSU LB after for the graduate program because I fear that I won't be able to raise my GPA high enough to get in by that time.

Sac State also has a health care administration undergraduate degree, but I wanted to change schools for personal reasons because various things have happened that I don't feel comfortable attending that school anymore. I essentially have only Spring 2013, Fall 2013, and Spring 2014 to raise my GPA. But, the issue is that I must apply in Fall 2013 to the school I would like to transfer to and that's where they will evaluate my GPA if I will be admitted or not. Which means my grades in Spring 2014 will not help me. Also, because I have attended Sac State for 3 semesters I have a unit cap of how many classes I can take at a CC to be able to transfer at the junior level. Another problem is I can only pick one school that I want to transfer to because each school has different course requirements. Do you think I have a chance at SJSU or CSU LB? Or should I just stay at Sac State to get the undergraduate degree, then apply for graduate school at CSU LB? I contacted the admission office at Sac State and they told me I can take a semester off, then come back in the Fall without having to reapply.

If I apply for Fall 2014 and I take summer courses in Summer 2014 can those classes still transfer the units so I can still be eligible or I must finish all the requirements by Spring 2014? I also checked on assist.org that if I want to transfer to SJSU there is a core concentration course called "Survey of Accounting" for health care administration that I will not be able to take. Mainly because the community colleges in Sacramento do not offer that course. I checked the community colleges in San Jose and only one other CC offers that course. Would this hurt my chances to being admitted? Same thing for CSU LB there is a lower division course called "Medical Terminology" required that none of the CC in Sacramento offer that transfers those units. What should I do now? If I'm able to raise my GPA to a 3.60 would that give me a better chance or just a small percentage to get into SJSU and CSU LB? Much help and advice would be greatly appreciated!
