i'm an international student. and i would to like to know if 3.7 gpa is enough to make it into cornell. my major is cornell would be economics. I have decent's ec and recs. Any advice? is there anyone that transfer into cornell?? thanks a lot.

Your reasons for the transfer would be important, as would your SAT's and other test scores. The issue often is, would you have been admitted out of high school? If your high school class rank was low (outside of top 10%) but your SAT's were good, you can cure that with a strong college performance (and 3.7 at a big state university is okay). If your test scores were out of range, however, that can usually only be made up with an exceptional college performance at a school like Purdue. Transfers from top lac's (Amherst, Williams, Swarthmore, etc.) or other Ivies can be made with a lower gpa.

Since this is brought up...How is a 3.6 from NYU?

it depends on what major you are applying into and what school u come from.
