Is 3.9 weighted too little for Ivy League?

hi i just realized that even with weighted gpa, mine turns out be less than 4.0! i had no idea. i mean i always went on the honor roll, so i thought i was doing fine. so i was wondering if this will lower my chances. i really appreciate the advice thx!

it depends on what your ranks is with that GPA.
Some competititve schools will have people with slightly low GPAs because the competition is tense.

GPA is just one facet of the big picture. 3.9 weighted doesn't automatically disqualify you, but youll need something big to make up for it.

bump bump bump

class rank is about ten times more important than gpa. As long as your in the top 5-10% of your class, i wouldn't worry about it too much... especially if you've got a good grade trend.

If your hs sends kids to ivies on a regular basis, your GC should be able to show you information admittance/rejection by GPA and SAT for kids from your school. That will give you a pretty good idea on your general chances with your HS factored in.

umm hold on, didnt you say on the chances thread you posted that you were almost certain of having a 4.0?

yea i know i said that, but i recalculated, and i dont think i can get a 4.0 lol. sry about that...
