Could you give your opinion regarding your GPA, ECs, difficulty of coursework, etc? Without them, it is next to impossible to give a prediction that is even marginally accurate.

Your gender and race may be factors as well, provided that you’re not considering any schools in California.

Well I also got a 30 and my top choice is Johns Hopkins. From what I read their middle 50% is 28-32 and 30-34 (depending on where you search). So although it’s not the best score you can get, it’s still a pretty good score for these colleges.

I’m Asian, female.
GPA around 3.94 (unweighted) (I heard college don’t really care about GPA)
EC: I am active in many after school clubs (including clubs not everyone can join, such as: Mu Alpha Theta (not that selective, need to maintain a 3.5 math GPA or something); National Honor Society (not very selective); Trireme(a senior girl volunteer club that is quite selective at my school); science olympiad
I am also involved in other clubs. However, I don’t have many leadership positions. I am the treasure of FCCLA and a presenter to elementary kids about dangers of drugs and alcohol (not really a leadership role) and unfortunately thats about all my leadership positions
class rank: top 5% (again, like GPA, I heard college don’t care about it that much)
I only took 2 AP courses during my sop and junior year. All my courses are honors (if they are available) except for sop english. However, I am taking 6 AP classes right now <— will college look at that???
My ACT score is 30

You heard wrong! At least in the sense that colleges DO care about how you did in your classes. They also take into account how difficult they think the courses were.

An ACT composite of 30 puts you in the 97th percentile. That’s enough to at least make you competitive for all of the schools listed and more than enough for some of them. As other posters have pointed out, however, your ACT score is just part of the admissions equation and factors like your GPA, class rank, ECs, etc. will carry significant weight in the selection process.

Like previous posters have said, it is low for UNC and UVA OOS. Being an Asian female will hurt you at Northwestern and Cornell. Georgetown, Rice, and Hopkins should be fine, though.
