Is 339 too short for 400-500 word essay?

I have to write an essay 400 to 500 words long. It ended up being 339 words

is that too short?

BTW can anyone read it? I'd rather not have someone I know read it, because its based on a story, and i want to know if someone who doesnt know the story gets the essay

i'll read it, i don't think any college is too strict on the word limits, and as long as the essay does its job you'll be fine.

i have the same problem too

ill read it

one of my essays is 300 words for a 500 word one
people told me to make it longer but they didnt even get it
send it over

I'll read it.

BTW i added a few words, its now 289

i think i stretched a few sentences to make it that much

they honestly won't care how long it is at all
if you could write the most profound essay in two sentences why the hell would you need the rest?
what if the maximum amount was 1000 words?
it would mean absolutely nothing
