is 4 classes too much?

Im new to UCLA from Pasadena City College and i have been doing the semester system (4 classes per semester) for a while. Is 4 classes very difficult to do at UCLA per quarter?

my classes are

HIST 9D
HIST 97B
HIST 105A

what do you guys think? would another class be too much in terms of workload?

you listed three class.

for my major, philosophy, the major advisor recommended that we take no more than two major classes our first semester (which is why i’m also taking a latin class) i’m sure it’s doable, but i’m also sure she knows what she’s talking about. I assume you’re a history major? idk how many classes the major requirement takes to fulfill, but realize that you need to take at least 180 UD units to graduate, even if the major doesn’t fill all of those classes (so you’ll need to take other UD classes till you hit that 180 mark)

A lot of people take 4 classes. Its nothing unusual.

Not for engineering.

You should take 3 classes during your first quarter to get a feel of the quarter system. Then start taking 4 classes starting winter quarter if you think you can handle it.
