Is 550 too much for a 500 word essay?

<p>It is fine. As long as you are in the ballpark of the requested word count, that is what matters as schools are not going to count the words but do want you to stay within the guidelines. My opinion is to be within 10% of the word count and thus my kids used 550 as the rule when 500 words were asked for.</p>

<p>lol. on a 250 word essay, i had 348 words lol...if that is ok, yours is DEFINETELY ok..</p>
