Is 710 Math II and 700 for French worth sending for Yale SCEA?

Hello all, I’m currently a senior applying EA to Yale.
I took the SAT II this October and got 710 for Math II and 700 for French. Now I’m not sure if I should send in these scores, especially Math II, since Yale says SAT II is “not required but recommended”.

Things to consider:

  • I’m an Asian international living in the US
  • I’ve gotten As and an A- for my past math courses at school (taking AP Calc AB now)
  • But then again, it’s been a while since my precalc class when I took the test
  • I’m going for art, so maybe they’ll view the math score with less weight than those going for math/science or as an extra strength? But that’s just me hoping.

So what do you guys think? Send them all? Send one? Send none?

Good question: bump!

Send them. 700+ won’t hurt you.

IMHO, I would not send any subject test score to Yale that is not >= 750, especially Math 2. Just my 2 cents.

I’d only send the French score if I were you. Having a 700+ French score as an Asian is a bit unique and definitely something you want to show colleges. I would NOT send Math II is that score will hurt more than help.

Same reply as @IxnayBob, I would only send SAT subject test(s) to Yale if at least 750.
