sat subject tests are out today
i got a 720 in physics and a 750 in math
are my scores too bad for top schools?
do sat2 plays an important role?

actually i didnt take physics in school
i learned it by myself
will that help if i mention it to the universities im applying to?

is there any chance i can get accepted by ivy league with these scores?

This is the wrong place to ask such a question–I am beyond surprised that you have gotten the positive response that you have. People on this forum seem to think that only a score of 790 or 800 is good and everything else is garbage, and I have serious doubts about the honesty of scores posted on this site. Scores of 720 and 750 are solid, impressive scores. To answer your question, SAT II tests play a role in admission but your SAT I/ACT results are far more important. Your subject tests scores definitely wont disqualify you from admission, but other factors are going to be just as or far more important than those scores (i.e. rigor of classes, recommendations, recognitions, etc.)

thanks
i have to be positive because i have no choice…=)
i decided to apply to the universities in the us in july
(yes, im a senior now…its a risk, i know )
and started preparing all the tests (sat1, sat2, toefl…) then
everyone kept telling me that if i got accepted by any good colleges only for six-month preparation, other applicants who have been prepared for one year would have all attempted suicide…o.O

well, i agree what they told me
so, all i can do is to try my best
if i were lucky, i would get accepted by one prestigious school
if not, it doesnt mean that im not good enough.
its just because i started to prepare for all this tough stuff (i really hate the sat!!!)too late

=)
i hope that i could get accepted by at least one school!!!

Anything over 700 is a very good score. Forget what trolls on the forums say. However, it never hurts to do better. My kid got a 690 the first try using self-study for Math SAT2. We then hired a tutor and on the second try he got a 780 for Math SAT2 and 740 in Chemistry. Hire a tutor and try again!

By the way my kid got accepted to 7 of 9 schools after that. This included his first choice.
