I am applying to Hotchkiss, Deerfield, Kent, Concord, Andover, Millbrook and Westminster (10th grade), and I have read here that 73% might not be enough to get into any of those school, which I am really concerned about.
Although I have a low score, I got 102 on TOEFL, that I presume to be more valuable than SSAT for international students, but I am not really sure.

There are fewer spots available for sophomores, and there is no way to know how many other students are applying, and what their stats are… Only the admissions officers can answer this one for you. I’m afraid you are in the same boat as everyone else…you’ll just have to wait for March 10. Meanwhile, worrying is not a good use of your time! Turn your attention to other things (I realize that is easier said than done). Remember that if you are accepted, your school will want to see your grades for the remainder of this year, so focus on doing your best work in your current classes. Good luck!

I think it depends on what country you’re coming from. Mercersburg, for instance, receives so many applicants from China that they do set minimum scores (SSAT of 2050) and state it on a special page on the website for Chinese applicants: [Mercersburg Academy ~ Chinese Applicants](http://www.mercersburg.edu/chinese-apps)

Same for South Korea.
If you are from anywhere other than these two Over Represented countries and don’t need financial aid, it might be okay.
Still, I don’t think TOEFL is more important than SSAT. The TOEFL score won’t keep you out the door (since it’s above the minimum of 100) but it won’t get you in. Same for the SSAT score. If you are close to the school average, high 80s %, it won’t keep you out but it won’t guarantee the acceptance.
