Is 740 Math IIC Good Enough for Top Ivies?

I am currently a sophomore.

Freshman year I took Precalculus. Then I took the SAT IIC. I expected a 800, but I ran out of time and somehow only got a 740. Should I retake it?

Does it matter/help that I took it in 9th grade or does it not matter and I need to take it again?

With my current score will I be at a disadvantage when applying to schools like Harvard, Princeton, Yale, etc.?

as long it’s above 700’s, it’s fine, but if u really think if u can raise ur score, then retake it. U have more time b/c ur only a sophomore, and i’m a junior and haven’t taken math 2 yet (i’m going to take it in fall).

Yeah since you’re a sophmore, if you have the time, why not try for that 800? Just remember that the 740 is very good.

Thanks! (A year late :P)

I retook. 800 :)
