I wrote on the 'significant experience' and my word count is 772 words. Is that too long? It doesnt ramble at all. I could curtail it by 100ish words but i dont want to unless its neccessary.
How long should it be at maximum?

I was under the impression it was a 500 word essay.

Mine was 750. Essentially any length under 1000 is fine if everything flows.

It is fine. I read reams and reams of comments on this subject for my daughter. The general consensus is that anything betweem 500-1000 is OK. People even went over 1000, but in that case, it better be a very compelling read.

it just occurred to me that it might be funny and impactful to present an essay with a compelling story leading to a whiz bang conclusion, only to end it prematurely with “500 word limit reached”.
