is 800 in north campus a good deal?

I was looking at an apartment off of w. 35th st and it is an efficiency but it has a really nice interior with stained concrete and new appliances. I am starting class in July so 800 would beat the 1400 that ut is asking to stay in jester. Are there any good grocery stores nearby that are of walking distance?? Thanks in advance!

The closest is HEB on E41st and Red River.

I wouldnt call it a deal but its the right price.

I got a 1/1 for 785 but its a bit farther

I’m like 60 seconds walking distance away from 38th street

That’s not terrible, but it’s definitely not a “good find.” I lived in NC just a couple blocks north of Dean Keeton for $700; a friend of mine who lived even closer rented for $650. (Both older apartments though, my appliances were awful but overall the apt. was okay)

$800 a month? I don’t think that’s a good deal for North Campus really… North Campus is usually much cheaper than West Campus, and I found an apartment at J26 in West Campus for $654. West Campus is much closer to all the buildings, too.

1 Im avoiding west campus at all costs for personal reasons. I can’t deal with the excessive partying atmosphere.

2 800 does seem pricey but the apartment and the complex are remodeled. The interior is very nice.

3 I also like north campus because of the residential nature, I love the fact that the complex is surrounded by trees.

Plus I dont have to worry about paying for parking at the current complex.

I would say its not too bad of a deal especially if it offers parking but i would keep searching just to see if there is something cheaper but if you can afford the rent, its within walking distance to campus or bike riding, and if its in a good location in town then go for it… those are three big things I look at… I am currently looking for a place to live as well

Okay, the fact that it includes parking is definitely a plus, since parking costs can be so expensive. If you can’t deal with the partying atmosphere, then I agree that North campus will be much better. Does it include furniture?

It is an ok price. I was looking around and found a couple of 1/1 at $800 price range in North Campus that are 32nd and closer a couple of months ago.

I dont believe so. I mean furniture isn’t an issue to begin with. I should have rephrased the title to ask if its a rip off. I guess its a little to late since im moving in a few days lol! But its not like I picked the first apartment I saw, I went with a realtor and he took me to 8 complexes and the one I picked was by far the best.
