Is a 2250 SAT good?

so i took the SAT I and got a 2250 first time. I got:

CR- 650
MATH- 800
WR- 800

Im not really too familiar with what is good or not. I feel like the 650 is a little low, especially compared with the others. Also, I am Hispanic so could that help when applying to colleges in terms of them viewing the low reading score better?

Thanks for any help.

CR should be a little higher…

Is English not your first language? That might help explain the low CR score, but being a URM in general will help you with admissions. Even at top schools you’d be a fairly reasonable applicant with those scores, especially if you have a high GPA and solid ECs.

Congratulations on the 800s! Because colleges take your best combined scores you can study really hard for the CR and send an improved CR score with the 2 800s. Hope that helps.

“Good” is relative, but your scares are at least “good”.

Even a 650 puts you in the 89th percentile.

A 2250 composite probably puts you in the 99th percentile overall.

I think this need not be relevant, but here are scores by “ethnic group”.

Its terrible, you’ll never be anything in life.

Just improve the CR and you’re golden.

^^ hahaha lmao!

in 2008 a 2250 or better ata single test sitting was achieved by 11972 students.

Call it top 12,000, which is also the top 8/10ths of 1%.

Darned good.

Yes, it’s good. However, some schools don’t give much weight to Writing score, so your combined M+CR is 1450…which is a bit less impressive.
