I'm a junior, which means that I won't make a chance thread until next year some time. But I have a 3.5 right now, probably a 3.7 unweighted. This is mostly because I really slacked off sophomore year; junior year i think i'll have a 4.0 weighted, maybe a bit lower. My first choice is Georgetown (I know I won't be getting in) and then mostly schools in Virginia, UVA, VT, W&M etc. Am I kidding myself by applying to these schools. I have great SATs (2100+ at least), great extracurriculars, etc. How much do colleges actually "look" at your application? Will they see the low gpa and write me off? And I'm a URM, that'll probably help, but still.

Bump? No? Lol, am i blacklisted for having a low gpa?

question: how do you have a higher unweighted gpa than weighted?

Colleges look pretty deep into your application. Admission officers look at everything you send. Judging by: myCollegeSTAT - Georgetown University you might have a chance if you can raise your grades a little.

lol, gracie i meant the opposite, and thanks cnaut for the link and the encouragement
