I took AP Bio in my freshman year in high school. I scored a 3 on the test. Is that acceptable with colleges because i have been getting mixed response. Does it solely matter on the College or is it really a pass.
I got a 3 as well when I took AP Bio as a sophomore. I didn’t report the score on my applications, but it’s not that bad. It will not make or break your application, so don’t worry.
If your potential colleges will give credit for a 3, it’s fine. If they don’t, then there is no need to report it. You don’t get bonus points for taking it as a freshman, if that’s what you’re wondering.
As mentioned above, AP scores carry little weight, if any, in admissions decisions.
Colleges don’t look at AP scores for admissions. This because the number of APs offered at schools is different, and many people take AP courses as seniors which is too late for admissions. AP scores are used for getting credit/placement in college. A 3 is the equivelent of a “C” and most colleges don’t give you credit for taht.
