I'm a junior in high school right now and Elon is my very top choice, and I'd really like to get into the Honors fellows. I'm confident about writing a great essay and getting good recommendations, but I only have a 30 on the ACT. I know that will be on the lower end for the Honors Fellows, since your score has to be a 30 or above. I really don't want to take the ACT, but I'd really, really like to get into the Honors Fellows because of the scholarship opportunities and other bonuses. So, my question is, even though I do actually qualify, is it high enough? Are there any Honors fellows on here who can share their scores?

I applied for honors fellows however I had a slightly higher ACT that you do and I didn’t get accepted to it. It isnt only your ACTs however, it is also important what else you do for instance, your transcript and other projects which you have done. While at the weekend, I met many students who had completed involved projects or done extensive amounts of community service.

I know of a young man with a 32 ACT who was accepted at Elon and invited to apply to be an Honors fellow. He applied and was not accepted. I will be honest and tell you I read his fellows application essay and was not impressed - it looked like he whipped it off in 15 minutes. He also didn’t have much in the way of extracurriculars, other than one varsity sport, and he had no leadership positions.
