Is a 4 on Calc AB good? Difference of 4 and 5??

What's the difference between a 4 and 5?

I was wishing I could've gotten a 5. Now I feel stupid because there's a bunch of people getting 5s and I got a 4. LOL!

man almost everybody at my school’s getting 5s and i’m the only lone 4. im a noob especially when i feel that math is my strongest subject.

it’s not bad, but you are rightly miffed.

man now everybody’s makin fun of me that i got a 4 instead of a 5.

i absolutely stunk in calc ab and felt so dumb compared to the others in my class with the practice tests toward the end (our tests were practice tests the last trimester)…i thought for sure i was going to get a 3

i got a 5 :P

do you think it was the hardest in recent years?? i took all the frqs from years before and got 9/9s on almost all of them. i bet i didn’t even get a 9 during the test. LOL!

honestly, i have no idea how i got a 5
afterwards i was just like ****

i was expecting a 4 but i did want a 5. :frowning: ■■■

Look at it this way: in the end, the only thing you really earn from an AP score is college credit. Are you getting credit for a 4? If you are, great job and don’t complain! If not… well, complain away!

the only thing hurt is my PRIDE!!! everybody’s gettin 5s and braggin to me they got a 5 and i got a 4. i’m butthurt

If it makes you feel better, last year most of my calculus class got a 2s. Be proud of your 4!

Yeah. Quite frankly I really think it depends on the teachers. I got 5’s on both AB and BC calculus, but then my teacher was REALLY, REALLY good.

Plus, we were number one on scores in Calc for 04, 06 and I’m not sure if we did for 08’.

But then a 4 is still very good. It’s listed as qualified. And Most universities probably will take it as an option if you want to skip the beginning course.

lol who cares? a 4, with maybe the exception of ivy leagues or really, REALLY competitive colleges, usually counts for the same thing as a 5 anyway.

Agreed with the above. If I get a 4 on my AB exam, I’d be ecstatic (just hoping I’d pass). Congrats to everyone!

I was shocked to get a four. I was expecting a 2 or 3 AT BEST after I left the exam room, so I think the curve was very generous.

At my school, passing the class grants you 4 credits (for Calc 1). Whether you score a 3,4, or 5 makes no difference.

That test was terrible. I felt horrible after the frq and I got a 5.
