Stupid mistakes on the Bio M that I realized right after the test, should've been higher so i was disappointed. I still realize it's a really good score though. Is it high caliber, however, for a school like Cornell (the ivy)?

Every one says 750+, but I'm really close to the 750 (so annoyed that i didn't pass it haha) - but im just wondering if that's not absolutely true

I agree, a 740 is still quite good. I would only retake it if you feel you could do significantly better (i.e. very close to or actually achieving an 800).

i made it into columbia engineering, cornell engineering, and stanford with a 650 in physics sat 2, 690 math 2 sat2, 630 reading sat1, 740 math sat1, and 680 writing sat 1.
i say that as long as you go above 700, or have done a couple memorable things, you are ok. id say that a 740 for cornell is way above average.
g luck!

uhh…roflcoptersoi…you say in your previous posts you’re a URM (latino)…
as a general rule, yeah you should get above 750, but i don’t think 740 will hurt you that much. The SAT reasoning is much more important though.

it’s just part of your overall application, but you could always look at the stats of those you got in, or didn’t, and see what pattern you see.

740 on bio is perfectly acceptable for Cornell, the rest of the Ivies and other top schools. Both my kids got into Ivies with a similar score and among their friends who got into top schools were many kids with a lower mark on the Bio SAT (680 into Georgetown, 700 into Williams, 700 into Harvard and 720 into Brown are the ones I know of who were in a study group with one of my children).

You should focus on the rest of your academics, your essays and your extracurriculars.
