I remember meeting a few acquaintances who had mentioned to me in the past that they had switched majors in their senior year and that they were planning on staying an extra semester or two. Sadly, I never followed up or kept their contact information, so I still don’t know if those plans were ever realized.
Personally, I’m almost done with a Philosophy major in Arts and Sciences, but I was hoping to pick up a double major in Chemistry which I’ve already started on the requirements for. Since I’m a rising senior though, I won’t be able to finish them without taking 26 credits every semester (when my average has been ~16 so far and I’ve been pushed to my limit on that schedule). I asked the advising deans but couldn’t get a peep out of them; I suspect because they’re trying to dissuade students from stretching undergraduate resources by suppressing the release of such information.
Does anyone have any information or experience on this subject? It would be most welcome!
Thanks in advance!
