I just got my quarter grades and I have a B+ in AP Stats. I can choose to redo an assignment (but its pretty long) so I really don't want to. I'm taking 5 AP classes: French 5, AP Bio, Gov, Stat, Eng Lit (& 1 regular class: Yearbook).
I have an A in everything & 1 A-, and I know I sound really obnoxious and anal but I know colleges get 1st Quarter Grades and all of my schools are really competitive (mostly top 10-20s). The thing is, I'm dying under all of my hw/college apps and I was wondering if it really would make a measurable difference to do SO MUCH extra work to bring my quarter grade up 2 points. WWYD? Thanks in advance!

We want to see the rest of your file…

What do you mean by file? I was just wondering if a B+ is significantly worse than an A for a 1st quarter senior year grade in the eyes of a college.

Well the strength of the rest of your application will determine if 1 grade will make a huge difference. If you have great ECs, test scores, and an above average essay than no it shouldn’t matter. It sounds like you care a lot about it though, and for your personal sanity you should probably do it anyway, simply because there’s no way it can possibly hurt you to get the higher grade.
