Is a class size of 250 big? If ranked number 1 out of 250 would that be impressive in college admissions?

250 isn't that big. its about average. yes #1 out of anything looks good.

edit: actually it may be even below average. My class size is pretty average ... 300-325. Being ranked out of 500 students and ranked #1 and being ranked #1 out of 200 students doesn't really make a difference. I think the rigor of the high school and the reputation it has established as a tough one that doesn't just give out A's is more important

i had a class of 350+ in my old school we had one of/largest grades r middle school ever saw...(we were all seperated b4 hand) annd when we went to hs it just got bigger...im not sure of my old schools class of 2008 total ne more but it was close to 400 now last time i checked(thats me) But even tho we were such a good class it was never overcrowded... and its a very good school number 32 infact...on the US NEWs week

My class has about 730 students.....

250 sounds small, we have 700+ this year and 900+ next year.

My class size is over 500

Just under 300 here

lol, my class size is around 100 and we are the largest class in our school..the other classes are around 80ish!

700+ in my class, but my school is not very competive, considering its a pretty much underfunded large public school, so me being around the top of my class isn't that impressive, it actually might hurt me considering I'm not #1, and those ranked ahead of me will end up at the state uni

hmmm 1000+ in my class...

52 in my class :)

My class has around 400.

700+, in class of 2007, coral gables high

You might have a few classes that size in college.

865 right here

In my old school, I had 750ish in my class.

718 and dropping....started out like 730

class of 1125....

yes, 4500 people in my high school

the average (median) school district has about 3000 students. that would make your class average in size.

class of ~550 here
