Your english score is a bit low… I think you might get LSPed
Good luck!

That English score is def a bit on the low side but my composite ACT was a 27 and I got in CAS ED. It also has to do with your GPA, ECs and essays.

What school are you applying for?
I had a composite score of 23 and was accepted ED. I was accepted into Tisch so there are more factors being considered. I did not send in SAT score (didn’t take it!) but my ACT score was definitely the worst part of my application.

Yes, it all depends. My son got in with a 27ACT score. He was LSPed. His gpa was a 95 and he had a few APs. He did have a lot of leadership and ecs. Each application is going to have different circumstances. Just apply, because you never can tell what the out come will be.

What about me? I have a 28 composite, E33, M23, R31, SC26 Combined E/W 30 I’m applying as a biology major.

SAT and ACT scores are just one part of the application. If you have a 27 with poor essays, a low GPA, easy senior schedule, and few extracurriculars, then no, it is not good enough for NYU. if you have a 27 on your ACT with excellent essays, a good GPA, a rigorous senior schedule, and strong extracurriculars with leadership positions then yes, it probably is good enough. It’s below NYU’s average (29-31) but if you have other extremely strong points that make up for that score, then it shouldn’t be too much of a problem. Also, it depends what school you want to apply to. Some of NYU’s schools weight test scores more heavily than others. For example, Steinhardt and Gallatin concentrate more on one’s essays and community service and extracurriculars whereas Stern and CAS concentrate more on test scores.
