The title meant to say double-u-tee-eff.

Dumb question, but really - not the Wikipedia answer, I want the real answer. In reality, WHAT is Greek life all about? Particularly at SC? Well, sororities anyway since I'm a chick. Viewing one of these frat threads it seems like all an image thing. And if a frat is diverse or hangs out with "ugly" to mediocre girls, they're losers. I'm assuming this goes for sororities as well.

What is rush? Is there an area of Greek Life that has substance? Or is it all about partying? Are there down-to-earth, academic-oriented sororities that aren't necessarily considered the bottom feeders of the social food chain? My parents think that becoming Greek is a good idea, but I just want to know what it really is and how it would benefit me. Will I be without a social life if I'm not Greek at USC?

Thanks!
